From the great Smoky Mountains to the gorgeous coastline, North Carolina is home to some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. Lakes and recreational waters, cool mountain streams filled with trout, high peaks, flatlands and tranquil coastal scenes make up this varied place to live and visit. The Blue Ridge Mountains feature ski slopes, golfing, hiking, rafting, fishing or just enjoying cool breezes. The coastal area has lighthouses, outdoor dramas, lovely beaches, fishing and boating. This state is also home to some of the best sports teams in the country, also home of NASCAR. Colleges and universities abound: Wake Forest, Davidson, UNC, N.C. State, Duke(to name a few) with their quality education and trophy winning ball teams.

My web name is Samaca. I was born and raised in the "foothills" of North Carolina. This has always been my home. It is so nice to be in easy access to so many great places. Near enough to the mountains to go for a picnic and just a few hours drive to the coast. I hope you enjoy looking thru the following links that will give you some idea of how great this state is.
